Hi! I'm Ashley Johansen.
I'm here to help you create joyful, timeless images that tell your story and feel like YOU. My goal is to tell your story as it unfolds, so that when you look back at your photos, you’ll be able to relive every moment
Photography is a way for me to reach out and connect with people. To capture the beauty and the love and the STORIES around me. I want to document all the happy and the funny and remind you why we CHERISH our loved ones. To preserve the faces that make up your world so you can look back and remember how much LOVE and JOY there is all around you and so you NEVER FORGET this time and these special moments.
Get to know me!
My Family
I'm a wife to the love of my life and a mom to three darling kids. I thought by marrying a redhead our kids would have more red in their hair... but I couldn't ask for better people to be my forever.
Reading
I LOVE books! The stories and the connection. Probably a big reason I love photographing weddings. If you ever need recommendations, I have a whole list! I also serve as the Chair on my local library board.
Bookkeeping
I used to work as a CPA for EY, but I traded corporate accounting for a camera and a job as a bookkeeper for a local ice cream shop. I get free ice cream and I get to visit baby cows whenever I like! Dreamy right?

A few more things...
I love dancing. I met my husband country dancing and wish I could dance all the time. I wanted my wedding ring to have a diamond cut in the shape of a star, but apparently that's not a thing?? I grew up in the sunshine state (Florida) and I miss the beach and the sunshine, especially during these cloudy Utah winters. I love Oreos and want to travel to Ireland. I've begun my workout journey - anyone else love NML?
My Photography Story
I bought a crop-frame DSLR when I was pregnant with my first baby so I could document all the moments. I took some pictures, but it wasn't until my cousin was getting married and asked me to photograph her wedding that I really fell in love. I was going through a really difficult trial, and for the first time in weeks I felt joyful! I decided then that I needed to keep this beautiful, creative outlet in my life and I invested in equipment and education and have loved every minute since!
